27001 CERTIFICATION
ISO 27001:2013 is an international standard that provides a framework for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) to ensure confidentiality, integrity and continued availability of information, as well as legal compliance. The ISO 27001 certification is essential to protect SQM’s most important assets, in addition to customer and employee information, corporate image and other private and critical business information. The ISO standard includes an approach based on launching, implementing, operating and maintaining a management system.

Progress Status
In February 2023 and after a 5-month implementation process, SQM’s Lithium Business Area obtained ISO 27001 certification. The next step in to carry out a strategic roadmap focused on implementing and certifying this standard in other areas of SQM. Thus, between 2023 and 2024, the Corporate Finance, Iodine, Nitrate and Fertilizer areas will be certified in order to standardized processes related to information security and cybersecurity.
